Is the whole program taking place outside?

This depends on which kind of program you have purchased. However, all our programs include time indoors as well as outdoors. Elves are doing their best to keep every participant warm and jolly. Nevertheless, we strongly recommend wearing warm winter clothing!

How should I dress for the program in Santa Claus Secret Forest?

As Santa Claus Secret Forest is located deep in the forest area, temperatures might be colder than in the city so and we do recommend to dress warm. Our experiences do not include thermal clothing but there are companies in the Arctic Circle and city centre area where you can rent thermal clothing if needed.

Some tips for dressing in the cold weather that you might find useful:

- Dress in layers. Use many thin, warm layers rather than a few thick layers. It will insulate better and allow you to strip off some layers if the temperature climbs. Staying dry is the top priority.

- Add a first layer consisting of a comfortably light fabric that will remove the sweat away from your body. Avoid pure cotton, linen, or other similar materials, however, because these fabrics retain moisture and will chill you down. The best material is synthetic fiber.

- Next layer should be a knit sweater, sweatshirt or fleece. This layer is to keep you warm. Also a warm tracking suit will do or the latest trend of one piece overalls.

- Thick socks (best thing would be to wear 1 thin and 1 or 2 thick pairs of socks on top of each other)

- Thin under gloves (best material is fleece)

Can I provide information of my family/party in advance?

If you are attending one of our delightful Weekly Group Programs, during the transportation, you will have the chance to fill in special forms with the names of the little ones and their most special Christmas wishes. This information will be used during the program.

If you will have treated your family to one of our Private Programs we have room for customization thus we would appreciate if you provide us with some information about your nearest and dearest in advance (names, ages, hobbies, etc.) This information will be used during the program by our magical staff.

Exceptions: Santa Claus and Elves are unable to take guests' own letters and own gifts to be passed on to the children participating in the experience. However, please, note that in cases when your chosen fairy-tale experience includes a gift, it will be gifted by the elf during the meeting with Santa.

What is the language of the programs?

Our primary guaranteed language of the program is always English. If you would like to request service in other language, please contact info@santapark.com for assistance.

THE SUCCESS STORIES BEHIND THE EXPERIENCES

Behind Joulukka, SantaPark and Prosanta Santa Claus delivery services is a Finnish couple, Ilkka Länkinen and Katja Ikäheimo-Länkinen. They has been working in experience industry since 1997. ProSanta Ltd. started by offering very detailed and professional Santa Claus performances and has grown into a true fairytale that consist of several locations offering magical experiences with true professionalism.

The idea behind Joulukka was to create the most personal and private of Christmas experiences, since we are situated near the Arctic Circle in Finnish Lapland. We wanted to build a place where the Christmas tales would come alive: elves with long noses and big ears, a friendly Santa Claus with his big belly, who always has time for children, and magical creatures dancing with the children by the campfire, while real Aurora Borealis light up the sky and the children’s happy faces.

Joulukka was built on private land, on to the shore of Sierijärvi-lake, in the middle of a forest. The sound and scent of a real forest, arctic climate and the magnificient scenery together created a unique environment that we didn’t want to ruin. Therefore we built Joulukka as natural as possible using wood, stones and logs. Even the water is pumped from a well. We use candles for light and prepare food by the fire. The furniture is antique, and we make sure to recycle everything that cannot be burn. We also encourage our customers to enjoy Joulukka’s close-to-nature atmosphere and to cherish nature-friendly values.

ProSanta Oy took part of Experience&Green DQN Quality1000 training. Green DQN® -program is environmental quality assurance program for Finnish tourism centers and areas.
